From supermarket food juggling calamities to
a talking compost bin!
The Great Taste Less Waste Show

Chef Gordon Blur is back and horrified! Horrified (no, not a the jokes) at the amount of food we waste. From the shops to our back garden, Gordon shows us why food waste is an ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM.

Help is on hand  from TV superstar presenter Cary Oke...

...but you, yes you, help Gordon in the "love your leftovers lunchtime lotto" as we create delicious meals.

Help him explore your cupboards and fridges (it's a dirty job but someone's got to do it). Help him sing the song (with his voice he needs all the help he can get).

More fun than a pointy stick or a muddy puddle, join Circus Take-Away, help save our tasty environment.

The Great Taste Less Waste Show Song

(to the tune of 'Supercalifragalisticexpialidosious')

We go and buy our lovely food each and every day
But do you know one third of it you will throw away
It's not good for your climate it's not good for your purse
Plan and do not waste your food, you know you could do worse

chorus

Love your food don't buy to much eat it if you can
Love your food don't waste to much eat it if you can
Love your food take care of it eat it if you can
If you can not eat it compost that's the plan

We all love to eat our food, we like to fill a plate
But if we do not eat it all you know that's just not great
Do not waste your leftovers I've got a cunning plan
Make another meal with them pop them in the pan

chorus

We do not want to waste our food so store it carefully
Keep your fridge nice and cool on that we can agree
Organize your cupboards but lets get one thing straight
Please make sure your eat it all before it's used by date

chorus

Another Interesting Fact...

The balancing trick (with food packets), used to raise the issue of buying to much, is based on an old WC Fields' trick. This is also the first show that we've seen a teacher literally jump out of her seat with surprise!
