"The talent and creativity that Circus Take-Away have, make it possible to deliver such important messages, in a way that children just simply take on board effortlessly"
A chance to take messages, learning and skills a bit further. They had workshops that ran alongside all of their shows and various stand alone workshops on puppets, magic, etc.
Sherbet Holmes was back!!! Following on from the Lost in Litter show, Sherbet led this workshop taking the issues raised further and challenges participants behaviour towards litter. Of course this was all done in Sherbets own fun style and he even taught a trick or two!
Aimed at years 5 + 6, the workshop involved:
Some may throw their litter away
But it's not gone but it's here to stay
You can’t make it disappear
It'll be here for many a year
So catch your litter
Don't throw it away
Pocket or bin it
That's what I say
Chef Gordon Blur wass back (along with the dodgy accent!), armed with a large plateful of spaghetti! Chef helped give you a gentle nudge in the direction of a healthier diet and you helped to devise strategies to avoid to much of those, boo! hiss! sugary, fatty foods.
Aimed at keystage 5 + 6 the workshop involved:
We all love food and eat a lot
Is all food good it is not
A variety of food gives your diet some zest
Use your nose to sniff out the best
To help you stay healthy fit and alive
Daily portions of fruit and veg you need five
High Sugar Salt Fat that's one two three
In food we should have less of of I hope you agree
Some food is cooked stirred and eaten
Raw fresh food washed and spun can't be beaten
Set your aim target your diet
You'll feel better just you try it
